I really wish I could motivate myself to work towards real life goals with the same enthusiasm as I manage to muster for virtual ones.

Somehow I can spend hours and days playing towards arbitrary goals with no real meaning, and no benefit, but when it comes to doing something real, I can never focus long enough see things through.

How do you keep yourself motivated?
